The Vidatha Unit of the Ministry of Industry successfully hosted a Knowledge Enhancement Program at the National Education Institute in Maharagama, bringing together 50 officials, including District Vidatha Officers and Science and Technology Officers.
The two-day program featured expert lectures from esteemed professionals representing various governmental bodies, including the Consumer Affairs Authority, the Department of Ayurveda, the National Medicines Regulatory Authority, and the Food Control Administrative Unit of the Ministry of Health. These sessions aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in consumer affairs and health sectors.
“We are committed to equipping our Vidatha officials with the latest knowledge and tools to better serve the community,” said a representative from the Vidatha Unit. “This program is a crucial step in enhancing the effectiveness of our services and ensuring that officials are well-informed about the evolving landscape of industry regulations.”
The curriculum included discussions on consumer rights, product safety, Ayurvedic practices, and regulatory frameworks, providing a comprehensive overview of the vital areas relevant to their roles.
